VAPOUR COMPRESSION REFRIGERATION CYCLE
The system comprises numbers of flow processes carried out in a seperate component namely Compressor , Condenser , expansion valve , evaporator .
The operation of cycle
1 . REVERSIBLE ADIABATIC COMPRESSOR
The vapour at low pressure p1 and temperature t1 is drawn from from evaporator during suction stock of compressor . During compressor the vapour is compressed at high temperature t2 and high pressure p2 . At compressor exist , the vapour may be wet , dry , and super heated . In addition to rising the pressure of vapour , the compressor creates a pressure difference between evaporator and condenser and that maintain a continuous flow of refrigerant through the system .
2 . CONSTANT PRESSURE CONDENSATION
The vapour refrigerant at high pressure and high temperature coming from compression and delivered to the condenser when the condensation takes place at constant pressure .The condenser first absorb heat from super heat and temperature of the vapour falls from saturation temperature . then refrigerant looses its super heat and changes into high pressure liquid
3 . THROTTLING
The expension of high pressure liquid is done the throttling process . During throttling process but enthalpy remain constant . Due to drop in pressure the liquid starts boiling and the required heat is provided by refrigerant itself . The refrigerants is a mixture of vapour and liquid .
4 . CONSTANT PRESSURE EVAPORATION
The wet vapour after throttling passes through evaporator coils placed in a medium which is to be cooled . Since the temperature is below the brine , it absorb latent heat from brine and get evaporated at constant pressure . The vaporisation continuous upto at state 1 and this stage of the refrigerant depends upon the heat absorbed .
